Resources

On the following pages you will find resources for your real estate modelling work. Shortcuts, functions and tips can be found on the relavant pages below.

Excel 2010

Despite having been released three years ago many companies have yet to upgrade to Excel 2007. Both Excel 2007 and 2010 are very different to previous versions. This page will give you a brief outline of the differences and what to consider if you are upgrading.

Excel Shortcuts

This page provides a list of keyboard shortcuts. Shortcuts are usually operated by holding down either or both ‘Ctrl’ and ‘Shift’ keys in combination with any letter or number from the rest of the keyboard. Using keyboard shorcuts in Excel is equivalent to touchtyping in Word. They will speed up your work and help reduce incidences of repetitive strain injury.

Excel Functions

In an increasingly global market for property we recognise that people may work in or with more than one country during their career and are very likely to encounter Excel functions in different languages. With the help of Natalie’s students at Cambridge who hail from different parts of the world she has constructed a table of common Excel functions, their description and translation into their alternative language versions.

Bayfield Tips

Bayfield Training’s success is based on their unique training method, specialist knowledge and innovative solutions to real estate models. This page lists a few of the solutions that are particularly useful to Excel users working in property.

Library

Bayfield Training regularly reccomends reading from a selection of books on each of the courses. If you have made a note of a particular book mentioned on a course you have attended you will be able to find it here.
